Phone number practice and listening comprehension are featured here. Understanding a phone number spoken at normal speed seems fast, especially for beginners. It's almost as difficult as understanding someone spelling their name.

It's interesting to note that voice inflection is different when giving a phone number as opposed to reading off a list of lotto numbers for example. We catch the "music" of the phone number for both the British and American people interviewed in this lesson, while concentrating on listening comprehension.

There are probably hundreds if not thousands of ways to illustrate the use of numbers. We managed to illustrate three of the most common ones, including these phone numbers.
